William Saintilus, Esq. is a Senior Associate at Luks, Santaniello, Petrillo and Cohen in their Miami office. There he handles general liability, premises liability, automobile liability and occasionally products liability matters. While in law School, Mr. Saintilus had an opportunity to intern with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, D.C. In the nation’s capital, he also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice. Upon admission to the Florida Bar, William worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the Broward County Public Defender’s Office. There he vigorously advocated for the rights of the indigent youth and adults of Broward County, whom were unfortunately involved in the criminal justice system. While severing the residents of Broward County as a an Assistant Public Defender, Mr. Saintilus also participated in several speaking engagements with at risk youth in the Fort Lauderdale area. In 2016, William was nominated to the South Florida’s 40 Under 40 Black Leaders of Today and Tomorrow in by Legacy Magazine. In 2017, he was again nominated to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
Mr. Saintilus earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Michigan State University College of Law, in East Lansing, Michigan. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Florida. Mr. Saintilus is admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Saintilus has been a member of local voluntary bar and professional associations such as the T.J. Reddick Bar Association, Caribbean Bar Association, Wilkie D. Ferguson Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and Dade County Bar Association. Mr. Saintilus currently serves as the Haitian Lawyers Association’s alternate representative to the Judicial Diversity Initiative (JDI). He is also a member of JDI’s Community Relations Committee. Mr. Saintilus is a native of Miami Dade County, whom enjoys learning, traveling and spending time with his friends and family.
