Emmanuella Annette Petion was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She is the youngest of four siblings, and the daughter of two loving and hard-working parents.

Emmanuella attended Florida Atlantic University (FAU). While at FAU, she was an Orientation and Welcome Leader and a member of Konbit Kreyol. At the core of her heart, she has long demonstrated a love for the Haitian community’s rich culture. This is evident in her active membership in Konbit Kreyol throughout her college journey. As a member, she was dedicated to the mission of promoting cultural awareness about the country of Haiti. Present day, she takes advantage of opportunities to serve by attending missionary trips to Haiti. Emmanuella graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in public communications and a minor in political science.  

Emmanuella attended Southern University Law Center located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While in law school, she was an editor for the Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty. During law school, Emmanuella worked as a judicial extern, a Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus fellow, and a Louisiana Legislative Women’s Caucus assistant. Emmanuella was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2017.

Currently, Emmanuella is an associate at Louis Law Group, PLLC where she practices in the area of First Party Property and General Civil Litigation. In her spare time, Emmanuella enjoys serving at her church, visiting art museums, and spending time with her family and friends.
