Veronique Malebranche was born and raised in Haiti. Ms. Malebranche moved to Miami with her family after 15 years. She is a graduate of Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, followed by a Juris Doctor from St. Thomas
University School of Law.
While in law school, Ms. Malebranche served on the board of the Public Interest Law Society as the Liaison between her law school and the several organizations on campus. She served as a Student Attorney with the Public Interest Law Society to receive a favorable decision on behalf of her client at the San Antonio Immigration Court. She was also a member of the Moot Court Team and argued at the U.S. District Court in Atlanta Georgia.
Currently, Ms. Malebranche is employed with the City Attorney’s Office at the City of North Miami acting as in-house counsel for the City working on cases related to municipal law and civil litigation, as well as a legal advisor for boards. Prior to that, she worked as a prosecutor at
the State Attorney’s Office in Miami-Dade County, Child Support Division focusing her practice on child support.
Ms. Malebranche is a member of the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, a recipient of the Top 20 Under 40 Young Professional Award, a graduate of the Florida Bar Leadership Academy, and the current President-Elect of the Haitian Lawyers Association.
Ms. Malebranche has a passion for the law and knowledge. She is constantly seeking to better herself and utilize her platform to support others.
