Career Transition Committee. The Career Transition Committee assists the Association’s membership with lateral career changes through programs and one-on-one assistance.

Community Service Committee. The Community Service Committee plans events to provide our membership with meaningful and impactful volunteer experience while providing much needed outreach services to the Haitian diaspora and to the community at-large.

Networking Committee. The Networking Committee plans events that provide members an opportunity to network and socialize within the Association, with the legal community at large, and with other voluntary Bar associations.

The Professional Growth and Development Committee. The Professional Growth and Development Committee plans and implements programs designed to enhance the professional growth and skills of the members of the Association in delivering legal services. This Committee also ensures that programming is offered with a particular focus to enhance the skill-set of young lawyers. This Committee also considers and informs the general membership of HLA Pro-Bono opportunities.

Membership Committee. The Membership Committee implements the guidelines for membership in the association and promote the Association’s growth through planned activities to encourage persons eligible for membership to join the Association.

Marketing and Public Relations Committee Chair Guerdy Noel

Marketing and Public Relations Committee The Marketing and Public Relations Committee establishes and maintains the Association’s website, social media outlets, the Newsletter, and outreach with other Voluntary Bar Organizations and the community at large.

Issues Committee. The Issues Committee assists the Board of Directors in preparing the positions of the Association on issues of local and national concern which may impact or affect the Association or its purpose as set forth in the Association’s By-Laws.

Gala/Awards Committee. The Gala/Awards Committee hosts awards receptions and organizes the Association’s Annual Gala.

Elections Committee. The Elections Committee is responsible for coordinating the organization’s annual and special elections, and delivering election results to the organization’s board and members.
