***HLA SPECIAL ELECTION 2023-2024 EXECUTIVE BOARD***

Please be advised that the Haitian Lawyers Association will hold a Special Election for one (1) Director Position for the Board of Directors, Officers, and members from Tuesday April 25th – Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 12PM Noon.
 
We are accepting nominations for the following positions: One (1) Elective Director.
 
The elective director will serve a two-year term.
 
Any active HLA member may nominate himself/herself or another active HLA member by emailing a written nomination to the Elections Committee at beatrice@cazeaulawfirm.com by 11:59PM on Monday April 24, 2023.
Please include a short bio of the candidate with your nomination.  If you are nominating another HLA member, please make sure that the nominee accepts your nomination prior to submitting it.
 
Active HLA members may cast their vote from Tuesday April 25th – Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 12PM Noon electronically ONLY!
 
***All paid members will receive a separate email containing the link to cast a vote electronically; the link will be active until 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 27, 2023. The ballots will be tallied, and the election results will be reported by the Elections Committee.***
 
An active HLA member is a person who has paid the annual membership dues or is a Lifetime member. The annual membership dues are $100 for lawyers who have practiced for over 5 years and $50.00 for lawyers who have practiced for 5 years or less. A member may become a Lifetime HLA member by making a one-time payment of $1000.00. Members should pay their membership dues for the current fiscal year to participate in this election.
