Our member of the week is Attorney Ashley Gantt who is the founder and managing partner of Gantt Legacy Law, P.A. Ashley’s interest in law began at a young age. She is a graduate of the University of Florida in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and NSU Broad Shepard Broad College of Law in 2016. Ashley was a Teach for America Mississippi Delta Corps (TFA) member where she dedicated two years to national community service in furtherance of closing the achievement gap. After fulfilling her two years in TFA, Ashley taught in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, serving as a middle and high school teacher for six years before beginning law school during her seventh year of teaching.
Upon being admitted to the Florida Bar, Ashley became a Broward County Assistant Public Defender in 2016, where she advocated for the citizens of Broward County for over two years. She received recognition for her trial skills by earning a “Hat Trick” Award from the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys for two consecutive years for attaining not guilty verdicts in at least three successive trials. Ashley has tried cases from misdemeanors to first-degree felonies.
