I am honored to serve as the 2012-2013 President of the Haitian Lawyers Association. It is a privilege to lead such an esteemed organization. I would like to take this opportunity to recognize Executive Board Member, Dotie Joseph for the development of this publication. Dotie, thank you for your time and hard work. You have done a wonderful job!

As we celebrate HLA’s 15th anniversary year, we are challenged to dedicate ourselves to our organization and its members. My personal theme for this year is “empowerment”. HLA has always been recognized for its countless hours of service and dedication to our community. This year we will continue to empower our community through HLA’s various pro bono projects. I strongly believe that the heart of every organization is its members. I would like for HLA to empower our members through programming, creating business development strategies and mentorship for our young lawyers. This publication is just one of the many opportunities that we have to promote our members. I am encouraging all of you to take advantage of all of our membership benefits, while providing your time and service to our organization. On behalf of the Executive Board, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for your support. We look forward to continuing our service to you and the Haitian community of South Florida and beyond.
