The Haitian Lawyers Association (HLA) held its 2012 Installation and Awards Ceremony on May, 8th, 2012 at Sabadell United Financial Center, in Miami, Forida. Nine Board Officers and Directors were installed: Board President Stephanie Ducheine-Welsh, President-Elect Byrnes Guillaume, Vice President Miriama Canty, Treasurer Jonel Lemy Secretary Fritznie Jarbath and Directors Dottie Joseph, Linda Noel, Ernst Olivier and Ronald Surin. The reception was generously sponsored by Sabadell United Bank.
HLA member Kertch Conze was honored as the 2012 HLA Member of the Year, in appreciation of his exemplary commitment to HLA and to our community. Circuit Court Judge Scott Bernstein was given the 2012 Diversity Award for his outstanding contribution to diversity in the legal profession and his tremendous support for HLA. Sabadell United Bank was given the 2012 Corporate Citizen Award in appreciation for its generous support to HLA and to the legal community.
Congratulations to Attorney Kertch Conze for being named HLA’s 2011 Member of the Year. Mr. Conze was recognized during the 2012 Installation Reception for his continuous dedication and service to HLA and the Haitian community.
